About Belle and Sebastian
One of the most respected and loved independent groups, Belle and Sebastian were formed in 1996 in Glasgow, Scotland. Their music is often described more in the lines of pop and twee-pop, less so as indie rock. Belle and Sebastian, however, reject these classifications and see themselves as having more in common with England's greatest indie rock band the Smiths.
